Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in the Milton Keynes area is seeking a Site Facilities Engineer. The successful candidate will manage compliance and maintenance of utilities systems, including boilers and compressors. Required qualifications include an apprenticeship and experience in plant services. This role offers a competitive salary up to £50k and various benefits including opportunities for overtime and a good pension.

Qualifications

Job description

Job Title: Site Facilities Engineer – Days

Department: Factory Services Engineering

Job Location: Milton Keynes area

Days Monday to Friday; overtime available.

Job Reward: up to £50k plus package.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for boiler, gas, air compressor compliance and maintenance, plant compliance and maintenance.
  • Support the process manufacturing department with running and monitoring plant.
  • Maintain building fabric and all contents within the perimeter, including plant rooms, compressors, fire services, chilling, switchgear and related systems.
  • Assist as a Facilities Engineering Technician within and supporting manufacturing areas.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for utilities services plant.
  • Support the site in identifying and carrying out corrective actions.
  • Resolve breakdowns relating to utilities plant.
  • Responsible for corrective maintenance.
  • Maintain effluent plant and support the process department with running and monitoring the plant.
  • Support delivery of the agreed manufacturing vision through continuous improvement and collaboration with peers to realise synergies across sites.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality and hygiene standards.
  • Implement efficient asset care programs and standardised maintenance systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Recognised apprenticeship, ideally electrically qualified.
  • Experience in maintenance of plant services, facilities and utilities, from an FM client site or manufacturing site background.
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • Mechanical or electrical bias.
  • NVQ Level 3 equivalent.
  • Knowledge of utilities/boiler/refrigeration/water systems/PSSR/LOLER.
