This senior leadership role is central to ensuring engineering excellence across the site, delivering high levels of reliability, efficiency, and safety. The successful candidate will oversee all engineering activities, lead a skilled team, and play a pivotal role in driving innovation and continuous improvement within a dynamic, fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct all engineering operations on-site to ensure maximum production efficiency and equipment reliability.
• Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Manage cross-functional engineering projects, supporting product quality and operational improvements.
• Mentor and lead a team of engineers, building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and safety.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and embed best practice throughout the site.
• Control engineering budgets and monitor expenditure to deliver cost-effective operations.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in a senior engineering management role within food manufacturing, FMCG, or fresh produce environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems relevant to manufacturing.
• Track record of leading and developing teams, delivering engineering projects, and driving operational performance.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety compliance in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in CMMS systems, Microsoft Office, and financial data analysis/reporting.
