About the Role

Our client, a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking for long-term progression within a reputable organisation.

Responsibilities

• Setting out for a range of civils and groundworks packages
• Managing levels, surveys, and quality assurance on site
• Ensuring all works are completed in line with project specifications and drawings
• Providing technical support to site teams and subcontractors
• Completing and maintaining site documentation, reports, and as-builts
• Liaising with project managers, site supervisors, and the client team

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or groundworks
• Strong knowledge of below-ground drainage design, including foul, stormwater and attenuation systems
• Proficient with setting-out equipment (GPS, robotic total station, etc.)
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
• CSCS card required; other relevant tickets beneficial
