Site Engineer
Location: West Ham, East London
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (45 hours per week)
A long-established UK civil engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering major works across water, transport, energy and the built environment is seeking a Site Engineer to support regional projects. The business is recognised for its direct delivery model, technical expertise and long-term investment in people.
The Site Engineer will provide engineering support across multiple live projects, ensuring accurate setting out, survey control, quality compliance and safe delivery.
The initial focus will be on the Manor Road NOS7 and NOS8 remediation works for Thames Water, involving repairs to bridge structures and trunk sewer barrels across rail and road spans. As these works are currently in the design phase, the role offers involvement from concept through to delivery, providing exposure to cost, programme and contract management alongside engineering delivery.
You will work closely with Site Agents, Sub Agents and the wider engineering team, contributing to HSQE documentation and supporting safe, efficient and commercially aware project execution.
