Showcase Scotland Expo are delighted to announce a partnership with Sidmouth Folk Festival.

Since 1955, Sidmouth Folk Festival has celebrated folk music, dance, and song by the sea - a vibrant and inclusive gathering that honours tradition while embracing innovation. Every August, tens of thousands of visitors descend on the beautiful East Devon coast for a week of concerts, dances, storytelling, workshops and sessions that bring the town to life. With world‑class artists, emerging talent and a community spirit at its heart, Sidmouth Folk Festival is a place where old meets new and folk traditions evolve.

Ten artists will be selected to perform at next year's event, which takes place from 31 July to 7 August 2026.

They are looking for a range of festival‑ready artists to perform across various stages and programme strands, including emerging and less established acts who are looking to increase their profile in the English market.

All applications will be reviewed by the Artistic Director of the festival, who will make the final selections. Successful applicants will be contacted by the festival directly to arrange performance details and negotiate terms. The Showcase Scotland Expo team are not involved in the selection process.
