Overview

OUR CLIENT: A leading organisation providing specialist claims support services to the maritime sector.

THE ROLE: The post holder will be responsible for managing a varied workload with a focus on handling marine salvage claims. This will involve liaising with clients and Surveyors. Working with and appointing experts including Adjusters, Lawyers, Shipowners/Salvors. Handling, advising on and reviewing new claims, considering recovery potential. Presenting claims to opponents, advising on liability and settlement of claims.

Candidate / Qualifications

• Familiar with rules surrounding Bills of Lading, Charter Parties and Contracts of Affreightment
• Excellent organisational skills and a solid shipping background with a focus on salvage claims
