Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Land/ Shift Surveyor for a £500m rail project in London. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant construction or mining experience and a degree in surveying or engineering. Responsibilities include establishing control points, supervising survey teams, and ensuring survey equipment calibration. Qualifications

  • Post holder must possess excellent English communication skills.
  • Degree or higher in surveying, engineering or construction is required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Check and set up horizontal and vertical control for construction.
  • Maintain control for the project and establish new points as needed.
  • Provide technical support on survey and setting out matters.
  • Ensure equipment is calibrated and checked according to procedures.
  • Supervise and take responsibility for survey teams.

Skills

Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
3+ years’ relevant experience in construction or mining
Knowledge of relevant safety legislation

Education

Degree or higher in surveying, engineering, mining, or construction
Vocational training or equivalent experience

Survey software (Amberg TMS, Star*net, MX, NRG)
