Responsibilities

  • Provide multi-skilled maintenance support during assigned shifts.
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance using the site CMMS.
  • Fault-find and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Support production start-ups and minimise equipment downtime.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and safety standards.
  • Support and coach machine minders and production operators.
  • Escalate technical issues appropriately.

About the Role

A large FMCG manufacturing operation based near Wrexham is undergoing a major expansion, creating over 100 new roles. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support a high‑volume processing facility, ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency in a fast‑paced production environment.

This role requires a hands‑on, multi‑skilled engineer with strong electrical and mechanical capability to support continuous operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide multi‑skilled maintenance support (electrical and mechanical) during assigned shifts.
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance using the site CMMS.
  • Fault‑find and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including drives, motors, and PLC I/O.
  • Support production start‑ups and minimise equipment downtime.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities and engineering projects.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, animal welfare, and Health & Safety standards.
  • Support and coach machine minders and production operators while on shift.
  • Escalate technical issues appropriately to the Shift Engineering Team Leader.
