Qualifications

  • Fully qualified apprentice‑trained Electrical Engineer (Level 3).
  • Multi‑skilled with experience in mechanical and electrical fault‑finding.
  • Previous electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for own safety and colleagues' safety.
  • Maximise production output and minimise downtime.
  • Ensure machines are in top mechanical and electrical condition.
  • Source parts and services as required.
  • Maintain a tidy and organised work area.
  • Respond effectively to breakdowns and repairs.

Are you an experienced, hands‑on Electrical Engineer? Do you thrive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment where keeping machines running smoothly is key? We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Selby.

We have several shift options available (salary is dependant on shift).

About the Role

You'll start with a structured training plan, spending time across all areas of the department and working closely with our maintenance team. This will help you gain a full understanding of our machinery, processes, and procedures. Once up to speed, you'll work alongside our experienced Engineers to keep production running at its best.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Taking responsibility for your own safety and the safety of colleagues, following all risk assessments and procedures.
  • Working closely with Cell Technicians and Cell Leaders to maximise production output and minimise downtime.
  • Ensuring machines are in top mechanical and electrical condition so we can consistently produce high‑quality products.
  • Sourcing parts and services when required - ensuring they are cost‑effective, right first time, and delivered on time.
  • Maintaining a tidy, organised work area and following all health, safety, hygiene, and legal requirements.
  • Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns and completing repairs to the highest standard.
What We're Looking For
  • Fully qualified apprentice‑trained Electrical Engineer (Level 3).
  • City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Multi‑skilled with experience in both mechanical and electrical fault‑finding.
  • Good working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • PLC and drive knowledge is an advantage.
  • GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Previous electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
