A global chemicals company is seeking a Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Manager to guide their Safety and Quality teams in compliance with UK standards. This leadership role requires a strong background in high-hazard environments and the ability to foster team development and collaboration. The selected candidate will be based on-site daily and may occasionally work from home, with total workplace engagement expected.
Allen & York are delighted to be working with a global chemicals company who are now looking to recruit a Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Manager as part of the site Senior Leadership Round Table, managing the team of Safety, Environment, Health and Quality and driving standards for SHEQ across the site to ensure compliance with UK standards and legislation.
Our client is the world's leading manufacturer of their product, which is used in a variety of different applications in both the commercial and domestic markets.
Reporting to the European SHEQ Director with a dotted line to the Site Director, this role plays a significant part in the development and promotion of SHEQ across the site, ensuring the culture and strategy are maintained and continually improving towards world-class standards onsite.
Based in the North of England on the Humber, you will be required to work on site every day due to the nature of the role and the fact you are managing the team, but there is the option to work from home on occasion. You’ll need to be within driving distance of the site and hold a valid driving licence. Some infrequent European travel may also be required.
Allen & York have been matching purposeful people with purpose-led organisations for 30 years. We partner with our clients and candidates on roles that build an understanding of climate change, promote sustainability and create inclusive and responsible organisations, working towards a sustainable world for us all.
Committed to inclusiveness in the workplace, we aim to increase diversity across all areas and therefore welcome applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of ethnicity, race, gender, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, age, or whether or not they have a disability.
