Job description
Job Purpose

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced 'hands‑on' Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Advisor with a 'can do' attitude. This is a fast‑paced role, in a growing business, requiring someone with a proactive mindset, flexible approach and an attention to detail. The successful candidate must be highly organised, reliable, and possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Managing and maintaining the various reporting systems.
  • Compiling statistics for reports and presentations.
  • Completion of customer accreditation documentation.
  • Developing and writing internal health and safety procedures/docs including safe operating procedures, toolbox talks, safety alerts and one‑point lessons.
  • Be an active member of the monthly safety committee and be prepared to chair the meeting when necessary.
  • Investigating / recording accidents of injury, near miss, environmental & cases of ill health.
  • Carrying out site safety inductions and monitoring safety critical training requirements, advising and training staff on best work practices.
  • Monitoring environmental impacts, objectives & targets.
  • Conduct audits (ISO, internal site, customer site, operator).
  • Supporting sites with the implementation of the appropriate safe systems or work.
  • Monitoring EdApp / MYC systems for compliance.
  • Liaising with relevant authorities where required.
  • Suggesting improvements to current working processes driving continual improvements.
  • Lead external audits for the relevant locations.
Essential
  • 4 years' experience in a SHEQ related role.
  • COMAH experience.
  • NEBOSH / equivalent qualification.
  • Well organised and able to manage own workload.
  • Excellent PC skills.
  • Experience of SHEQ reporting systems.
  • RCA / incident investigation.
