Sheet Metal Plater

The business is looking for a driven and motivated Metal Sheet Plater to support the team through these exciting times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Metal Fabrication: Craft high-quality metalwork products with thickness between 1mm to 10mm, products would consist of Plenums, Doors, Manifolds, and others to; Assembly: Utilise MIG welding techniques to assemble, finish, and inspect various metal products.
  • Design Reading: Interpret designs, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and precision in fabrication.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect finished products for structural soundness, quality, and adherence to design requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain workshop tools and machinery to ensure smooth operation and safety.
  • Problem-Solving: Work collaboratively with designers, engineers, and fellow fabricators to troubleshoot design or fabrication challenges.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in metal fabrication, preferably in an industrial/architectural setting.
  • Skills: Proficient in MIG welding, metal forming, cutting, and finishing techniques.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of metals, welding procedures, and fabrication tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to produce precise, high-quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Safety Focused: Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety procedures related to fabrication and workshop environments.
Preferred Qualities
  • Experience with bespoke and custom metal fabrication projects
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Positive attitude and a keen interest in continuous learning and skills development
  • Passion for traditional blacksmithing and modern fabrication techniques

  • Carry out general workshop duties if required
