Job overview

To manage the people, processes, and performance of Imperial Urology’s elective inpatient services, including the coordination of urology theatre lists to ensure responsiveness to changes in demand.

To oversee and manage the registrar rota.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that robust processes are in place to schedule patients in line with clinical priority and national access targets, including CWT, RTT, and DM01.

The post holder will be expected to organise and prioritise their own workload, as well as support colleagues, to ensure continuity of service at all times.

Main duties of the job

  • To co-ordinate operating surgeon cover and maximise the utilisation of Urology theatre lists.
  • To develop the process to ensure that patients are scheduled in line with clinical priority and national access targets including CWT, RTT and DM01.
  • To ensure that the service is able to meet reporting requirements for specialized inpatient activity.
  • To ensure quality and customer care standards are met consistently as well as responding to patient concerns and complaints.
  • Management of the monthly registrar rota.
