A reputable healthcare provider in St. Neots is seeking a Clinical Lead/RGN to manage its neurorehabilitation unit. This role requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with responsibilities including daily operations and staff management. We are looking for an exceptional ClinicalLead / RGN to join our management team at The Marbrook Centre to lead our 28bedded rehabilitation unit. We are an established neurorehabilitation andcomplex nursing home, with a strong and enviable reputation for excellence withour external healthcare partners. We operate from a high-end, purpose-builtluxury facility for those who have experienced life changing events or havelong term neuro related conditions.
We need someone who genuinely wants to make adifference and who understands the importance of empowering and enabling ourresidents through owning and running their own dedicated service. You maycurrently be working as a Lead/Senior Nurse, Deputy or General Manager in asmall home.
We are looking for someone who will providesupport to the General Manager and line manage, coach, and supervise yourallocated staff team. You will have emotionalintelligence and advanced interpersonal skills, alongside a methodical,structured, solution focused approach. In return you will be well resourced andsupported by a close, committed management team who work collaboratively withyou to develop and engage your staff team and service provision.
You will of course be supernumery to our staffratios, but will also have the opportunity to deliver hands on care, so your clinicalskills are kept up to date and you do not miss out on delivering first handcare.
Ideally you will have some neuro experience althoughit is not essential, but it will be helpful if you have worked at a seniorlevel, managed people, and contributed to decisions so that you can help uscontinue to achieve our strategic objectives. You will need to be systematic andadministratively/IT efficient, with an excellent interpersonal manner that canwork with people at all levels.

Purposeof role
To be accountablefor the delivery of The Marbrook Centres management approach and ethos, and toensure that the neurological rehabilitation/long stay services are exemplary intheir delivery of safe and effective care, and are well led at all times.
As this is primarily aclinical/care leadership role, this post holder will have day to day contactand involvement with residents, their families and visiting professionals. This role is considered to be a high profilefront of house role.
SpecificResponsibilities
To take primary responsibility for managing and overseeing the dailyoperation of the Marbrook neurological rehabilitation/long stay services,whilst sharing responsibility with the senior team to deliver Marbrooksoverall objectives
To have clinical overview and take the clinical lead (with GeneralManager support when required), and including as a supportive role for ourdementia service
To undertake day to day contact and involvement with residents, theirfamilies and visiting professionals
To act as and promote the positive face and public representation ofMarbrook, in a manner conducive with the level of management and theresponsibilities that this role carries
To role model best practice, professional and positive reinforcement toall staff at all times
To ensure that the care provided offers our clients a high standard ofspecialised, person centred care
To ensure that all residents are treated with dignity and respect andthat their independence, choice and control is actively promoted by the service
To actively promote Marbrooks values and care ethos within the staffteam and organisation environment
To actively and positively line manage/develop/train/mentor/coach the Edenteam, and ensure that all staff are well supervised at all times
To correctly implement organisational, clinical, social and legislativepolicies and requirements, procedures, systems and processes to underpin andsupport all areas of responsibility
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents at all times
To ensure that good quality, relevant and substantial records/documentation/notesthat satisfy CQC, management and resident/families requirements are kept at alltimes
To ensure that all stock is ordered, controlled and safely stored at alltimes
To ensure that all medications are administered, ordered and storedsafely and correctly at all times, including controlled drugs; and to haveoversight of these items at all times.
To ensure all care plans and risk assessments are reviewed at agreed andsuitable intervals
To lead on the care and support review meetings programme
To carry out pre-admission assessments where required
To support the dementia services in the absence of the designatedservice manager
To participate in the manager on-call rota
To assist in the recruitment of, and to maintain a competent staff team,including supporting completion of the Care Certificate and all e-learning inline with the Marbrook Learning & Development and Probation policies andprocedures
To work with the Rota Coordinator to ensure the rota is effective and adequatelyplanned to deliver safe ratios in line with our safer staffing procedures
To manage and deliver all required Kronos processes including annualleave, timesheet management and submission for payroll processing
To undertake and deliver line management duties with HR support, whichmay include probation management, investigations, performance management,absence management and disciplinary processes
To attend and contribute constructively to required management meetings
To facilitate regular team meetings which include required set agendaitems and that are responsive to the needs of the services
To encourage an open and honest culture within the organisation; and tosupport members of the team to make decisions and contribute to positivechanges within the service
To act as advisor on complex long stay/neurological care for the organisation
GeneralResponsibilities
To keep accurateand clear documentation in line with sector specific and legal requirements.
To participate inaudits as required.
To keep abreast ofnew developments in the profession, and to bring innovation and creative inputto the role, for consideration and discussion with line manager.
To attend allmandatory and developmental training courses relevant to the post and as agreedwith the line manager.
Towork in accordance and at all times with all relevant legislation e.g. CQCstandards, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, CareStandards Act 2000, Health and Social Care Act 2008, Care Act 2014 andSafeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SoVA) etc.
To take an activerole in own personal and professional development and identify any developmentneeds with the support of your line manager
