Overview

Service Manager – Permanent role based in Cambridge and surrounding areas including Essex, Suffolk, Saffron Walden, Haverhill, Sudbury, Acton, Newmarket, Braintree, Bishops Stortford, Bury St Edmunds. Post Code: CB10 1ES. Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 + Car + Benefits. Start Date: ASAP.

Responsibilities
  • Customer support, identifying customers' needs with the view to either assisting them to a fix or quoting them for a site visit.
  • Supporting field engineers with technical issues, spares etc.
  • Liaising with our equipment suppliers where support is required.
  • Trouble shooting as and when required, both in the field and remotely.
  • Field work as and when the demand requires.
  • Together with the service administrator, organise engineer workloads, quote customers for works, quote customers for contracts and promote them.
  • Manage engineers and maintain their efficiency.
  • Resourcing additional staff as required or identified as needed.
  • Support the sales team with technical support, and pricing for add on services as part of new equipment quotes.
  • Build and maintain successful working relationships with key suppliers and counterparts in their service departments.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Experience in managing a service department or a senior role within a service department with some level of responsibilities relating to customer support and engineering support within the Environmental Test Chambers, Climatic Chambers or the refrigeration sector.
  • Experience suitable for a Service Manager, Senior Service Engineer or Refrigeration Engineer role with the ability to operate in a commutable distance to the listed locations or willingness to relocate.

The role will suit individuals currently working as Service Manager, Senior Service Engineer, Refrigeration Engineer and living within a commutable distance of Cambridge, Essex, Suffolk, Saffron Walden, Haverhill, Sudbury, Acton, Newmarket, Braintree, Bishops Stortford, Bury St Edmunds or be willing to relocate.
