  • Being involved in key technical discussions alongside the Product Specialist on more advanced and complex projects (approximately 6-7 projects per year).
  • CAD design – training given.
  • Working on floor-standing lab and occasionally pilot-scale chemical reactor systems.
  • Troubleshooting issues with returned instruments (rupture discs, valves, vessel, electric heater, temperature and stirrer controllers).
  • Operating in a 65-70% mechanical and 30-35% electrical engineering role (a qualified electrician isn’t required).
  • Visiting customers to complete new equipment installations and commissioning (0.5 to 3 days, dependent on system complexity) – approximately 20 new installations per year.
  • Visiting a variety of Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Academia clients.

You should have a logical and methodical approach to fault-finding, enjoy a diverse role, and hold engineering qualifications such as a time-served apprenticeship, City & Guilds, HNC, HND or Degree.

Experience using CAD design software is advantageous but not essential, as is knowledge or education in Chemical Engineering. A UK driving license is required, along with the right to work in the UK. The client does not offer sponsorship.
