Service Engineer - High Pressure Chemical Lab Reactors
Do you have a passion for developing your hands-on engineering skills working on industry-leading equipment? Ready for your calling? This specialist equipment provider is searching for a well-rounded mechanically biased engineer, ideally with exposure to chemical reactors (lab, pilot or industrial scale) or other high-pressure equipment. This role offers an opportunity to work with some of the most advanced equipment used by researchers, scientists and engineers for new product development, process optimisation, chemical synthesis and fundamental research.
The company is recognised for service delivery and prides itself on detailed attention to customers' needs and the highest standards of performance and quality. With customers across the chemical, pharmaceutical, biotech and academia sectors, they are looking for a dedicated engineer to provide first-class service to its customers.
As a Service Engineer you will work at the client’s service centre and on customers’ sites across the UK (average of 4 nights away per month). Travel is Mon-Fri and does not encroach on weekends.
The successful candidate must be multiskilled (electromechanical) with a mechanical bias and hands-on experience as a service engineer/technician on high-pressure systems, reactors or related chemical equipment.
You should have a logical and methodical approach to fault-finding, enjoy a diverse role, and hold engineering qualifications such as a time-served apprenticeship, City & Guilds, HNC, HND or Degree.
Experience using CAD design software is advantageous but not essential, as is knowledge or education in Chemical Engineering. A UK driving license is required, along with the right to work in the UK. The client does not offer sponsorship.
