Job summary

A leading fire protection company is seeking a Pump Engineer to perform maintenance on Sprinkler Fire Pumps. The ideal candidate will have a full UK driving licence and ideally experience with fire sprinkler systems. The role offers a competitive salary, company van, and opportunities for training and development. Occasional weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving licence is mandatory.
  • Ideally have working knowledge of Sprinkler Fire Pumps.
  • Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance works to Sprinkler Fire Pumps.
  • Assist other engineers with repairs and fault finding.
  • Complete job reports for each inspection/breakdown.

Location: Mobile – covering London & South East (M25, Essex, Kent, Suffolk). Office Base: Ascot

Summary of Role

This is a great opportunity for an individual interested in entering or returning to the sprinkler industries as a Pump Engineer.

What you will be doing

  • Carry out pre-planned maintenance works to Sprinkler Fire Pumps to relevant standards.
  • Understand fire panels, and sprinkler systems including pumps and diesel engines.
  • Be able to assist other engineers in carrying out repairs and fault find on fire sprinkler pumps.
  • Be able to carry out repairs to rotating equipment to a high standard.
  • Complete job report on each inspection/breakdown.

What we will need from you

  • Full UK Driving licence
  • Ideally you will have experience of or working knowledge of Sprinkler Fire Pumps
  • Experience of working with diesel engines
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to liaise with clients
  • Strong written and attention to detail skills to complete job reports
  • Able to work effectively on your own and work autonomously with little supervision – but know when to elevate for support
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds – Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance related field (desirable but not essential)
