About this role

Barker Ross are currently looking for an enthusiastic fitter engineer to join our client PDI/Service department in Corby on a temp to perm contract starting ASAP.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out pre‑delivery inspections of new irrigation equipment.
  • Build machines to customer specifications.
  • Service and carry out repairs to customer equipment at the factory and on site across the country.
Requirements
  • Background in agricultural/mechanical engineering or experience in motor industry/machine/industrial/plant maintenance sectors.
  • Self‑motivated, conscientious with good eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and customer skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Counterbalance forklift licence an advantage, but not essential.
Benefits and Working Conditions

The company will provide comprehensive product training and use of all relevant equipment on site.

Hours are Monday to Friday 08:00am to 05:30pm, Friday finish at 04:30pm.
