Salary : £45,000

We’ve partnered with a well‑established software‑driven organisation that’s looking for a Test Analyst to join a team leading the charge on testing across several business‑critical systems. A strong focus on API and SQL‑driven backends is a must for anyone applying.

This role is hands‑on and delivery‑focused. You’ll be responsible for defining test strategies, designing and executing tests, and ensuring quality outcomes across every release. Working closely with developers, BAs, and business users, you’ll be the key point of contact for all QA activities, from system integration to release readiness.

Expect to be immersed in tasks such as Postman, SOAP UI, SQL queries, and live release preparation while also driving process improvements and mentoring junior analysts.

Test Analyst: What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading functional and non-functional testing across multiple projects
• Designing and implementing detailed test strategies and test plans
• Hands‑on testing of APIs using Postman and SOAP UI
• Writing and executing complex SQL queries to validate data integrity
• Driving testing within Agile sprints, collaborating with Devs, BAs and product
• Managing defects, release risk, and UAT sign‑off
• Ensuring acceptance criteria are clearly defined and met
• Reporting on test coverage, progress, and risks to stakeholders

Test Analyst: Key Technologies + Environment

• Testing: REST APIs, Web / Mobile / Tablet, Cross‑Browser, Regression
• Tools: Postman, SOAP UI, JIRA, TFS, ALM
• Tech Stack: SQL, SQL Server Management Studio, C# / .NET, HTML, Java
• Delivery: Agile, Scrum
• Release: Live release planning, defect triage, risk reporting
• Infrastructure: Coordinating testing across integrated environments
