Job summary

A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in London is seeking a Senior Temporary Works Engineer. In this role, you will design and manage temporary works solutions for construction projects, ensuring safety and compliance. The position offers a competitive salary of £60,000 to £70,000 per annum plus additional benefits. Ideal candidates will have a degree in civil or structural engineering, chartership status, and at least 5 years of experience in temporary works engineering.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years post-graduate experience in temporary works engineering.
  • Accredited or working towards full chartership with a professional body.
  • Vast knowledge of relevant UK codes, standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop temporary works solutions, including shoring and falseworks.
  • Conduct site assessments and provide technical advice on temporary works.
  • Collaborate with clients and project teams to integrate temporary works into the overall project plan.
  • Prepare detailed calculations, drawings and reports.
  • Oversee installation and removal of temporary structures on site.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
