Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Band 7 Theatre Scrub Nurse to lead our dedicated team in Orthopaedic and Emergency Theatres. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to step into a leadership role within a fast‑paced and rewarding environment.

As a Team Leader, you will:
  • Lead and manage a team of scrub nurses and support staff in orthopaedic and emergency surgical theatres.
  • Ensure safe, effective, and high‑quality perioperative care.
  • Support the Theatre Matron and contribute to service development and clinical governance.
  • Act as a role model, promoting best practice and professional standards.
  • Coordinate staffing, training, and development within the team.
The successful candidate will have:
  • NMC Registered Nurse (Adult) or HCPC Registered ODP.
  • Significant scrub experience in orthopaedic and/or emergency surgery.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and decision‑making abilities.
