Senior Team Leader - Timber Yard

Region: Stoke-on-Trent ( ST1 )

Temporary to Permanent vacancy

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of yard workers, ensuring efficient workflow and high productivity
  • Operations Oversight: Oversee daily operations, including loading/unloading timber, stock management, and maintaining yard cleanliness
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to safety regulations and company policies; conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments
  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and ensure accurate record‑keeping
  • Customer Service: Coordinate with customers and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on yard operations, inventory status, and team performance
Salary and Working Hours

£19.55 per hour (£40k per annum), All overtime X1.66

Sunday to Thursday – 22:00 till 06:00, Includes Bank Holidays (flex)
