You will design, develop, and implement advanced systems that directly contribute to mission‑critical projects, working across surface, sub‑surface, and unmanned platforms. Acting as a technical lead, you will guide project teams, provide expert advice, and ensure engineering solutions meet quality, safety, and schedule requirements. The position combines hands‑on problem‑solving, team leadership, and strategic influence, offering the opportunity to shape technical approaches, mentor junior staff, and stay at the forefront of emerging technologies in defense and maritime systems. Accountabilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver engineering solutions for complex systems and projects, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, budget, and schedule objectives.
  • Write technical reports and present work at peer reviews and design reviews.
  • Develop and improve team processes, providing technical guidance and influencing decision‑making across engineering teams.
  • Remain up‑to‑date with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating relevant innovations into project solutions.
  • Estimate work packages, identify dependencies, and ensure deliverability within project timelines.
  • Mentor, coach, and provide guidance to junior engineers to build technical capability within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a complex engineering environment.
