Job Title - Senior Support Worker

Salary: £26.5k (36 hours) or £29.4k (40 hours)

Join Care Support Scotland, a leading social care charity, where we deliver inclusive, person‑centred support across Scotland. We are looking for a dedicated Senior Support Worker to lead our frontline delivery for individuals experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.

The Role: Empowering Independence

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be crucial in helping individuals overcome challenges, build stability, and move towards independent living. You will lead delivery of personalised tenancy support, housing management and wellbeing services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Coordination: Coordinate and deliver complex support plans (tenancy sustainment, mental health, housing needs, personal development).
  • Direct Support: Act as a keyworker, helping individuals achieve goals, build life skills, and improve health.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership on shift and supervision to Support Workers in the absence of the Team Leader.
  • Collaboration: Liaise effectively with external partners (housing teams, healthcare, advocacy groups).
  • Practice: Promote inclusion, empowerment and trauma‑informed practice across all support areas.
  • Administration: Oversee support delivery, ensuring accurate and professional records and utilising digital systems.

  • Qualification: A recognised social care qualification at SCQF Level 6 or above (Essential).
  • Experience: Previous experience in adult social care, ideally within homelessness, housing support or mental health.

  • Skills: Confident in report writing, support planning and using digital systems.
