A leading support service provider in Godalming seeks a passionate Senior Support Worker to lead and support teams working with autistic adults. This full-time role involves helping individuals to achieve personal independence and community integration. Candidates should have experience in management within a social care setting and possess a commitment to safeguarding welfare. The position offers flexible hours, benefits including a pension scheme, and extensive training opportunities.
We support people to understand their diagnosis and how this may impact on their life and the lives of those around them. Our residential services provide accommodation and support for autistic adults 52 weeks a year, 24 hours a day in urban and rural settings. We also provide supported living services for autistic adults who need extra help to live in their own homes or within our accommodation, whether as tenants or owner‑occupiers, living alone or with others.
We have come a long way but there is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for people on the spectrum. With your help, we can make it happen. The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, challenge perceptions and build a society that works for autistic people.
We are looking for Senior Support Workers with the passion to work with our fantastic teams. You'll be resilient, supportive and sensitive towards the needs of autistic people. Suitable candidates will have experience of management and/or shift leading within a social care setting. Being a Senior Support Worker takes leadership skills, patience and commitment. The role requires flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families, including evening and weekend working.
