Job description
Overview

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Supervisor to work with our client the NI Housing Executive based in Coleraine, the successful candidate will be required to travel to various offices across Northern Ireland. This is a temporary post for a minimum of 3 months, and the salary is £18.72 per hour, working hours will be 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday.

The post holder will be responsible for organising, planning and controlling the work of the DLO Supervisors covering Building Maintenance, Specialist Works, Electrical Inspections & Testing, and Void Property Maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of supervisors and support the DLO Manager in business operations.
  • Ensure appropriate resources are in place, including labour, vehicles, plant/equipment, and stock.
  • Coordinate Health & Safety with the H&S Officer, including completing risk assessments.
  • Authorise timesheets and verify completed work.
  • Manage specialist subcontractors.
  • Organise relevant training for supervisors.
  • Work alongside HR on recruitment, absence management, disciplinaries, and grievances.
  • Analyse management information (KPI figures, accounts, HMS data) and implement corrective action when required.
  • Assist in business planning and procurement of plant/equipment, preparing specifications where necessary.
Qualifications

What We Need From You

  • A degree or equivalent in a construction-related subject plus at least 2 years’ relevant experience
  • ABTEC HND/HNC (or equivalent) in a construction-related subject plus at least 3 years’ relevant experience
  • Be a time-served craftsperson with at least 4 years’ relevant experience.
