With the merger of VMLY&R and Wunderman Thompson, we have forged a new path as a growth partner that is part creative agency, part consultancy, and part technology powerhouse.

Our global family now encompasses over 30,000 employees across 150+ offices in 64 markets, each contributing to a culture that values connection, belonging, and the power of differences. Our expertise spans the entire customer journey, offering deep insights in communications, commerce, consultancy, CRM, CX, data, production, and technology. We deliver end-to-end solutions that result in revolutionary work.

The Opportunity:

Are you ready to get in the driver's seat and shape the future of customer relationships for one of the world's most iconic automotive brands?

VML is seeking a brilliant and highly collaborative Senior CRM Strategist to join our industry-leading team in London. This is a unique opportunity to be the strategic engine for a prestigious global client, working at the intersection of data, creativity, and technology to drive revolutionary growth. If you are passionate about turning customer data into powerful, personal experiences, we want to hear from you.

The Role:

As a key strategic lead, you will be a vital partner to our client and internal teams, ensuring every campaign is rooted in strategic insight drawn from data, industry knowledge, and deep customer understanding. You will focus on developing insights from analytics, testing new approaches, and developing innovation plans to unlock growth for every part of the client group.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop sophisticated data-driven strategies focused on CRM targeting, messaging, personalization, and optimization across 121 channels. You will work closely with our creative, data, and account teams to bring your strategies to life and measure performance to fuel continuous improvement.

You will be a key voice in the wider strategy team, bringing CRM expertise to collaborative projects. The award-winning strategy team meets weekly to share ideas, inspiration, and solve complex problems together. The annual ‘Stratfest’ in September features external speakers and thought leaders to elevate our strategic game.

What you’ll be driving day-to-day:

  • Architecting brilliant communication strategies for new product launches, seamlessly integrating them with major ATL campaigns.
  • Designing and building innovative CRM programs (such as Welcome, In-Life, Cross-Sell, Win-Back) that cultivate customer loyalty, grow lifetime value, and retain customers.
  • Leveraging rich client data and insights to define sophisticated audience strategies that resonate on a personal level.
  • Masterminding the channel strategy across 121 channels, including Email, DM, SMS, App, Web, and Connected Paid Media.
  • Developing compelling messaging frameworks and personalization plans that make every communication feel unique and relevant.

Who you are:

  • A seasoned CRM strategist with approximately 5 years of agency or in-house experience, ready for your next big challenge.
  • You have a deep, intuitive understanding of CRM principles and the evolving digital marketing landscape.
  • You are a natural collaborator, working effectively within cross-functional teams and inspiring creative and copy teams.
  • A strategic and analytical thinker, passionate about using data to drive business impact.
  • You are proactive, curious, and thrive on pushing boundaries and learning new things.
  • An exceptional communicator with top-tier organizational, proposal writing, and presentation skills.
  • You can partner with senior clients, fostering trust, reliability, and thought leadership.

We believe the best work happens when we're together, fostering creativity, collaboration, and connection. We’ve adopted a hybrid approach, with teams in the office about four days a week. If you require accommodations or flexibility, please discuss this during the interview process.
