Responsibilities
  • Operate as an autonomous speech and language therapist within a dynamic multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct assessments to understand how communication affects daily life and provide tailored interventions.
  • Collaborate with individuals and their support networks to address and solve communication challenges.
  • Develop and implement management plans for communication rehabilitation, including seeking specialist assessments as needed.
  • Facilitate training sessions for staff and social networks of our service users.
  • Play a crucial role in service development and organisational growth.
Qualifications

About you: We are seeking candidates with a Degree in Speech and Language Therapy who are registered with the HCPC and have achieved Dysphagia Competencies. Your deep understanding of SaLT models, particularly in acquired brain injury scenarios, will be vital. Experience in complex dysphagia management within an adult neurology caseload is expected, along with a minimum of four years of professional experience managing complex cases.
