Overview

Senior Specialist Health Economics and Market Access / New Cardiology – UK focus. Location: UK (Hybrid) with 20% travelling. Onsite Location(s): Hemel Hempstead, HRT, GB. Additional Locations: N/A.

We’re looking for a talented and ambitious (Senior) Specialist in Health Economics & Market Access to join our UK team and support our growing Cardiology Division – with a particular focus on Interventional Cardiology and Structural Heart solutions. In this UK-focused role, you’ll be a key member of our broader team and will work cross-functionally with commercial, clinical, and policy colleagues to help ensure our breakthrough technologies are accessible and reimbursed across the UK healthcare system.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and executing reimbursement strategies for new and existing cardiology products within the UK market
  • Supporting the design and adaptation of health economic models (e.g., cost-effectiveness, budget impact)
  • Conducting and contributing to UK-specific evidence generation and market access dossiers
  • Collaborating with regional and global teams to ensure UK needs are reflected in clinical trial design, economic model development, and value messaging
  • Monitoring and interpreting UK policy developments that may impact reimbursement and access for Boston Scientific products
  • Supporting and educating internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, clinical) on health economics and market access related topics and implications for their work
What we’re looking for

  • Solid experience in health economics, market access, or reimbursement – ideally within medical devices or pharmaceuticals
  • Strong understanding of UK health policy and reimbursement mechanisms
  • Experience with economic modelling (cost-effectiveness, budget impact) and literature reviews
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a broader regional team
  • A degree in health economics, health policy, life sciences, public health or similar (postgraduate qualification a plus)
