Senior Solicitor / Associate - Personal Injury - 5+ PQE - Gloucester/Cardiff

Location: Gloucester or Cardiff Office (with occasional travel between sites)
Type of Role: Full-time
Salary: Competitive, £55,000 to £70,000

Chadwick Nott are pleased to be working with a respected mid-tier legal firm, currently seeking a Senior Solicitor or Associate to join their growing Personal Injury team based in either Gloucester or Cardiff. This is a senior opportunity for a solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE and a strong background in personal injury law, with scope to step into leadership and help shape the future of the department.

The Role
This is a strategic and hands-on position, offering the chance to lead a thriving Personal Injury practice. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing a complex caseload of high-value personal injury claims
  • Leading and mentoring a team of lawyers and legal assistants
  • Advising clients with practical, solutions-focused legal guidance
  • Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings
  • Building strong client relationships and enhancing the firm's regional profile
  • Driving business development and growth across Gloucester, Cardiff and beyond
  • Contributing to strategic planning and firmwide leadership


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified Solicitor with:

  • Minimum 5 years' PQE in personal injury law
  • Proven experience handling complex and high-value claims
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent client care and communication abilities
  • Commercial awareness and business development experience
  • A collaborative, values-driven approach


Working Arrangements
