Senior Software Engineer - MOCA

The Market and Order Data Analytics (MODA) platform is essential to Bloomberg's trading automation and execution systems by providing scalable shared infrastructure for the normalization, distribution, and storage of trading data. We build and own the APIs that express the platform's data model, along with the infrastructure systems that validate and distribute the data through our network and to our consumers. We provide our clients with a platform that allows engineers across Bloomberg to enrich and combine data sources, enabling the definition of complex heuristics that are critical to our clients' trading decisions.

Responsibilities

• We are looking for an experienced, self-driven full-stack engineer to help us in our mission to unlock the power of trading data. We are seeking someone who takes initiative, thrives in cross-functional environments, and can independently lead projects from concept to delivery. Because our work touches so many teams, you'll collaborate closely with product owners and engineers across multiple organizations.

Our Tech Stack

• Our engineers spend around 70% of their time writing C++, with the rest of the time spent building and enhancing UI components in TypeScript/JavaScript
• Tools: A mix of open-source and custom-built software
• Focus: High-performance, scalable, and maintainable infrastructure
