Job description
Overview

Ripjar specialises in the development of software and data products that help governments and organisations combat serious financial crime. Our technology is used to identify criminal activity such as money laundering enabling organisations to enforce sanctions at scale to help combat rogue entities and state actors.

Team mission: Our engineering team builds software that makes the world a safer place. We work collectively to use technology, creativity and engineering best practice to solve problems that nobody else can.

What you’ll be doing

Join us in the fight against global financial crime. At Ripjar, our engineers are building Labyrinth Screening — an advanced AI-powered platform that helps major financial institutions detect and prevent money laundering and fraud in real time. Your work will directly protect people and organisations from criminal networks around the world. You’ll contribute to our customers’ success by designing, developing and shipping features to prevent money laundering and financial crime.

Some of the key technology challenges facing the team this year include:

  • Developing our scalable, multi-tenant, cloud-based SaaS-first architecture.
  • Upgrading our DevOps tooling to ship code fast with certainty.
  • Harnessing the power of Labyrinth Screening to work with new types of data at scale within Ripjar’s wider financial crime solutions.
Responsibilities
  • As a Software Engineer on the Labyrinth Screening team, you’ll design, develop, and ship cutting-edge features that stop criminals in their tracks.
  • Shape our scalable, multi-tenant, cloud-first architecture to handle billions of data points.
  • Upgrade and evolve our DevOps ecosystem to deliver code rapidly and confidently.
  • Collaborate across disciplines — engineering, product, UX, and operations— to turn bold ideas into reliable, production-ready solutions.
  • Continuously improve our platform’s performance, reliability, and developer experience.
