Senior Software Engineer, Back End - Card Tech

Overview

Capital One is seeking Back End Software Engineers who are passionate about marrying data with emerging technologies to drive a major transformation. You will be part of a collaborative, fast-paced, and iterative delivery environment focused on solving real problems and meeting customer needs.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment
• Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience (experience applies in this context)

Qualifications

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on hours worked. McLean, VA: $158,600 - $181,000 for Senior Software Engineer. Candidates hired in other locations will be subject to the pay range for that location, and the actual offer will be reflected in the offer letter.

This role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, including cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
