The Role

As a Senior Software Developer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the architecture and delivery of our backend systems. You’ll work with modern technologies, influence technical decisions, and collaborate with talented engineers who care deeply about quality and impact.

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining reliable backend services using Go (Golang)
  • Contributing to architecture discussions and technical decision-making
  • Building robust event-driven and asynchronous workflows using tools such as RabbitMQ
  • Working with microservices-based architectures
  • Ensuring high code quality through clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
  • Supporting and improving system reliability, performance, and scalability
About You

You’re an experienced backend engineer with a passion for clean code and scalable systems, and you enjoy taking ownership and initiative.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Strong commercial experience with Go (Golang)
  • Solid understanding of event-driven architecture and microservices
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Redis
  • RabbitMQ
  • PostgreSQL
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerised application development
  • A proven track record of writing clean, tested, and maintainable code
Desirable
  • Previous experience working with healthcare systems

Location & Hours
  • Hybrid working – remote with occasional travel to Ashford, Kent
  • 37.5 hours per week
