This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to make a meaningful difference as a Locum Senior Social Work Practitioner within the Referral and Assessment Team in Bromley. Over a 3-month period, you’ll utilise your expertise to work with children aged 0-17, assessing their situations and making recommendations to improve outcomes. With an hourly rate of up to £39.04, this full-time position offers an exciting challenge in a vibrant community.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments for children who may be at risk, working closely with the Police Child Abuse and Investigation Team on joint investigations as required.
  • Engage directly with children and families to understand their needs, identify risks, and develop comprehensive plans to address these.
  • Handle cases involving Children in Need and navigate complex scenarios where the Common Assessment Framework is not sufficient.
  • Coordinate the initial stages of new Looked After episodes, ensuring thorough assessments and smooth transitions to other teams within Social Care.
  • Manage cases from referral through to completion before transferring to the appropriate teams.
