Do you have prior experience working as a Site Chemist? Do you have expertise in the safe handling and segregation of hazardous waste? We are currently offering the opportunity for a new chemist to join a hazardous waste company based in the East Midlands. Our client is seeking an experienced Site Chemist to join their team in a senior role.

Only applicants with prior experience within the hazardous waste industry will be considered for this position.

The Role

As a Senior Site Chemist, you will be responsible for:

  • Receiving, inspecting, and separating deliveries of hazardous chemicals
  • Training & supervision of junior site chemists
  • Accurately completing and maintaining delivery documentation
  • Loading and unloading delivery lorries
  • Processing of incoming / outgoing chemical deliveries
Current / Recent Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 2+ years of prior experience as a Site Chemist or Chempac Chemist (essential).
  • A chemistry-related degree (BSc / MSc / MChem / HND) or working experience in a chemistry-based role (essential).
  • Prior supervisory or line management experience of junior site chemists (desirable).
  • Forklift truck or counterbalance trained (desirable).
Profile Required

Able to relocate / commute to Leicester (essential).

Existing UK work eligibility – visa sponsorship cannot be offered for this position (essential).
