A leading football club is seeking a dedicated scout to oversee talent identification for players aged U9-U12 in the Local region. Qualifications

Job description

Scouting

• Attend live matches and watch games by video, to provide actionable recommendations in line with the CFC reporting procedures and timeframes.
• Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts within clubs in the Local region including Sports Directors, Academy Managers, Coaches, Agents, and other key stakeholders.
• Assist in the collection of context and background information on key players of interest.
• Scout at tournaments as required (International travel for scouting coverage may be required as part of the role).
• Assess trialists at the U9-U12 age groups and provide feedback to support decision making.
• Maintain up to date knowledge on the in-house players at Chelsea FC from U9-U12.
• Undertake video clipping of players within the region and support the recruitment team with the production of documentation to assist the recruitment process when required.
• Work on any other scouting project as required by Chelsea FC.

Regional Management

• Manage the PT scout(s) within the region and maintain regular communication.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the football environment and player base within the Local region.
• Coordinate fixture coverage of yourself and other Foundation staff to maximise efficiency and quality of scouting in the region.
• Support work in the region as required by the Foundation Scouting Lead.

Qualifications and Experience

CONTRACT : Fixed-Term until 30 / 06 / 2027. 6 out of 7 days - 40 hours a week managed flexibly with the requirement for evening and weekend work.

JOB FUNCTION : To oversee the talent identification of players from U9-U12 in the Local region, through the scouting of matches, the gathering of insight and intelligence and the management of a scouting workforce.
