Overview

SAP Transportation Management Consultant

Responsibilities

• Support the Transportation Management Solution Architect to work with customers and NTT Data sales and business development teams to translate business requirements into Transportation Management solutions, and assist in drafting statements of work for sales and deal reviews.
• Lead and coordinate integrated workshops with senior stakeholders in the customer organization.
• Provide thought leadership on supply chain strategy, specifically in Transportation Management solutions and roadmap.
• Act as the design authority to ensure Transportation Management solutions align with industry best practice.
• Engage in self-directed learning to stay current with new technologies and share knowledge to develop others and improve business processes.
• Identify potential for repeat/extended services and provide comprehensive input to grow the business; be alert to customer opportunities.
• Demonstrate delivery and configuration expertise in:
  • Freight Unit Building and Order/Booking Management
  • Manual and Optimizer-based Planning
  • Cockpit layout management
  • Tendering and Supplier assignment
  • Transportation Management Execution
  • Cost Distribution
  • Charge Calculation and Settlement
• Maintain knowledge of embedded and standalone deployment options and both Shipper and Third-Party Logistics Provider scenarios; knowledge of pallet and load building, Event Management, PPF, and integration to EWM is advantageous.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong communication, influence, and advisory capabilities within the Transportation Management solution architecture field.
• Proven track record of delivering Transportation Management projects and solving complex requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and soft skills to build relationships with stakeholders across local and global teams, customers, suppliers, and partners.
• Gravitas, integrity, and the ability to drive results and lead by example.
• Ability to make solid decisions in complex environments and a desire to continuously learn and share expertise.

Experience

• More than 6 years of professional experience in SAP/Transportation Management consulting; experience with a value-added reseller or software house is advantageous.
• Experience in solution design and architecture with successful delivery across multiple project lifecycles (more than 5 full lifecycles).
