Job Description

The Senior Sales and Client Support role provides broad support to the Sales team across client acquisition, retention, and ongoing service. It involves assisting with client interactions, coordinating key deliverables, and helping ensure smooth onboarding and follow‑up processes. The position also contributes to event coordination, cross‑team communication, and special projects, playing a vital part in maintaining strong client relationships and supporting the firm’s business development goals.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support client acquisition and retention efforts by preparing high‑quality presentations, reports, and onboarding materials, ensuring seamless delivery of excellent client service in partnership with senior team members.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration across investment, marketing, legal, operations, and compliance teams to gather inputs, manage timelines, and deliver timely responses to RFPs, DDQs, RFIs, and other client deliverables.
  • Assist with event planning and execution by organizing seminars, conferences, and client forums in collaboration with internal teams and external organisers to support business development goals.
  • Partner with senior staff in external engagement by joining selected key prospect, client, and investor meetings, assisting with portfolio reviews, and helping coordinate participation in industry events to strengthen relationships.
  • Provide operational and project support through ad‑hoc initiatives, occasional office management coverage, and process improvements that enhance team efficiency and client experience.
Ideal Qualifications
  • 7–10 years’ experience in the investment management industry.
  • Fluent in English and German preferred.
  • Ability to make independent decisions, organised, detail‑oriented, proactive with a desire to learn about Virtus and its affiliates product selection.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and the ability to understand financial commentary, analyse charts and graphs.
  • Excellent use of discretion, able to develop relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Excels in high‑pressure and demanding environments.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Competency in using relevant computer applications such as MS Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Writer, Salesforce, eVestment and Morningstar Direct.

The salary range is £58,000 to £71,000 GBP.

The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan.
