Due to a period of organic growth,we are looking for an experienced safety practitioner to join our rapidly developing safety team as a Senior Safety Consultant to expand our services in support of our core customers.This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of safety engineering, building upon traditional techniques and management approaches.

What will the role look like?

As a Senior Safety Consultant, you will work with clients to provide safety support throughout the life cycle of their systems, from concept through to disposal. Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Support the development of safety solutions tailored to meet customer requirements.
  • Support the technical development and delivery of high-quality safety assurance services for clients.
  • Produce and/or assure safety artefacts to time and quality requirements.
  • Propose and support innovation activities and projects.
  • Experience:5+ years in technical systems safety management, ideally in UK defence, consultancy, MOD, or a defence prime contractor.
  • Education:A relevant engineering or safety degree or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise:Good knowledge of safety assurance, safety legislation and standards.
  • Teamwork:Proven track record of delivering safety projects.
  • Skills:Technical delivery of safety-based outputs (such as Safety Case Reports, Hazard Logs and Probabilistic Safety Assessment techniques).
  • Registration with a relevant professional body.
  • Experience of the UK MOD Acquisition Safety and Environmental Management System (ASEMS).
  • Knowledge of emerging safety technologies and methodologies.
  • Experience delivering safety solutions for defence platforms, systems or equipment.
  • A passion for innovation and improving safety assurance processes.
