Job description
Looking for a Senior Resource Geologist (Product Lead)

to join a venture-backed, Cambridge University spin-out transforming how the world discovers critical minerals.

About us

The biggest risk to all human progress is securing sufficient, diversified supply of critical minerals. To meet energy transition and data centre demands, over the next 25 years we will need to mine the same amount of copper as we have ever mined in all human history. Today’s methods for discovering and developing mines simply can’t scale to this challenge.

We're a Cambridge University spin-out using explainable AI to transform the way that critical mineral mines are found and developed. Our uncertainty-aware models map subsurface resources from multimodal data, helping mining companies make faster and more accurate drilling decisions. This can halve drilling costs, double exploration areas, and accelerate the time to production for critical mineral projects.

After closing an oversubscribed funding round, we’re facing more customer demand and pilot opportunities than we can currently support. We’re expanding the team to turn our breakthrough technology into a product and scale it globally.

The role

You will be the centre of expertise for resource modelling and geology, responsible for product direction as the interface between customers and the internal team of engineers and geoscientists. You must ensure that the product addresses high-leverage industry problems and fits with real-world workflows. You will :

  • Lead technical discussions and market research interviews with customers about resource modelling.
  • Translate customer requirements into clear, prioritised product requirements.
  • Help interpret and incorporate geological and geophysical data into ML models.
  • Ensure model outputs are interpretable, defensible, and appropriately used within industry-standard resource estimation workflows.
What we’re looking for

Core competencies :

  • Hands‑on experience preparing Mineral Resource Estimates under NI 43-101 and / or JORC regulations.
  • Experience working closely with Qualified Persons.
  • Strong familiarity with industry‑standard mining software (e.g. Leapfrog, Datamine, Vulcan).
  • Clear communicator, comfortable in customer‑facing technical discussions.
  • Kind, clear thinking and open to give and receive direct feedback.

Strong pluses :

  • Exposure to innovative or probabilistic modelling approaches.
  • Familiarity with geophysics or multi‑disciplinary datasets.
  • Product management experience.
  • Consultancy or technical services background.
  • Experience in operational resource modelling.
The Details
  • £60–80k base salary plus meaningful equity. We expect this role to suit a mid‑senior resource geologist who wants real product responsibility in a fast‑scaling, early‑stage company.
  • Working in person from London.
Why Join Us?
  • Take a leading role in shaping the product from an early stage.
  • Shape how AI‑driven tools support real resource decisions.
  • Work on high‑impact, real-world geological problems.
  • Flat structure, fast pace, and genuine responsibility.
