A child welfare organization is seeking a Senior Residential Care Practitioner to support children and young people. This full-time position based in Solihull includes leading a team, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing a nurturing environment. Competitive salary and ongoing training are offered. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership abilities and experience in children's residential services.
Salary: £33,699 - £39,152 pro rata, per annum. This includes 2 atypical payments for the requirement to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays for staff working on a rota basis.
This role also includes Sleep ins, for which a separate payment will be made (currently £41.78).
Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week. While this vacancy is full time, requests for working on a part-time basis may also be considered, where business needs can be met.
We are opening new Residential Children’s Homes across Solihull for children aged 7 to 17 and we are looking for Senior Residential Care Practitioners to join us.

Our senior management team have extensive knowledge and experience in working in Children’s Residential services, as well as working with vulnerable children, young people and their families.

Our service is embedding the PACE model for therapeutic input and the care provided to our children and young people is person-centred and individual to their needs.
We are focused on delivering the best possible care for our children and young people, whilst providing an inclusive and positive environment that provides the opportunity to grow, develop and achieve personally, emotionally and educationally.
We will provide a comprehensive induction and training prior to the opening of the home, and where desired, the opportunity to undertake a funded Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
With guidance and support from our Registered Managers, as well as managing daily routines, you will also lead and inspire a team of Care Practitioners to act as role models to our children and young people. You will assist our Care Practitioners to address challenges, build the children’s resilience and you won’t think twice about going above and beyond to enable our children and young people to achieve their full potential on their journey to adulthood.

We will also ensure you are given the ongoing support, guidance and training you need.
You will either be working towards or hold a Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). There will also be the opportunity to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare, as funded by us, should you wish.

Whilst you will be based at one of our children’s residential homes, on occasions you will be required to provide cover across all the homes, to ensure we continue to meet the needs of our children and young people.
