A prominent healthcare provider in the UK is seeking an experienced nurse to join the Beatson Clinical Research Facility. The role involves supporting cancer clinical research and delivering patient care within research teams. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience, including 2 years in a cancer setting, along with strong organisational and communication skills. This is a full-time position on a fixed-term basis of 2 years.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
There are 2x full-time roles of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday (9am-5pm). These are on a fixed-term basis of 2 years (renewable contract).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to join the Beatson clinical trials. The Beatson Clinical Research Facility is an NHS facility which supports cancer clinical research across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and the study portfolio includes early phase/ translational, first in human and phase I-III experimental and advanced therapy studies across a wide range of adult solid and haematological malignancies.
These posts are part of the research nursing infrastructure supporting cancer research and will have responsibility for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care within the current research teams. We are looking for an experienced RGN with a minimum of 3 years post registration experience, 2 of which should be in the cancer setting with experience of SACT delivery. Evidence of appropriate post-registration qualification/relevant experience in cancer is essential. Attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills, good IT skills and a methodical approach are key requirements, along with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
