A regional healthcare provider in Scotland is seeking a Senior Research Nurse to join its clinical research facility. An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Research Nurse to join the Beatson Clinical Research Facility (BCRF) nursing team. The BCRF is an NHS facility which supports cancer clinical research across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and the study portfolio includes early phase/ translational/advanced therapy and late phase studies across a wide range of adult solid and haematological malignancies.
This post is part of the research nursing infrastructure supporting cancer research and will have responsibility for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care within the current research teams, with some focus on ATIMP delivery both in the cancer and non cancer setting.
We are looking for an experienced RGN educated to a minimum of degree level with substantial post registration experience which should be in a cancer/haematological setting. Evidence of appropriate post-registration qualification/relevant experience in cancer is essential along with experience of SACT delivery. Attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills, good IT skills and a methodical approach are key requirements, along with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of the governance and legislative framework for conducting clinical research studies and BMT cell delivery experience are desirable.
The post holder will be based between the Beatson site and the QEUH BMT site. This is a 2 year fixed term post with renewable options
