We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Recovery Nurse to join our Theatre team based in Hemel Hempstead. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salaryplus benefits.

Main duties of the job

Our responsibilities will include to:

• Support the (Deputy Theatre Manager) in meeting departmental objectives by contributing to the work of Anaesthetic and Recovery and overall theatre service, including staff training and development, process improvement, and project management.
• Mentor junior team members and actively participate as a practitioner in delivering safe, effective, evidence‑based care to all patients.
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve and maintain an outstanding, patient‑focused service.
• Assist the (Deputy Theatre Manager) in providing visible and strong clinical leadership, developing staff, and critiquing and updating departmental processes.
• Help improve quality compliance within the department.

For Clinical Roles:

The successful candidate will work on a shift basis, 37.5 hours per week over a 7‑day rota during hospital operating hours. The rota is not fixed and may change to meet operational needs; weekends and bank holidays will be required.

• Experienced Senior Recovery Nurse working closely with clinicians with audit experience, ideally in private healthcare.

Education/Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMC
• ILS
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Completion of training/development programmes (relevant to role)
• Teaching / Mentoring experience and/or qualification

Experience

• Current and consolidated experience as Senior Recovery Nurse
• Experience of working closely with clinicians of varying seniority
