Overview

Senior Radiographer Ipswich Hospital | Diagnostic Imaging | Permanent contract | Part Time. Up to £40,000 pro rata, dependent on experience. 15 hours per week with on-call commitment.

Main duties

As a Radiographer, you will: help deliver our high-quality diagnostic imaging service; experience a varied caseload in the department, on the ward and in theatre; work with leading practitioners and new practices, equipment and facilities; carry out scoping to develop policies and procedures; supervise and develop junior colleagues; ensure that what you do is delivered with sensitivity and compassion.

Job responsibilities

As a Senior Radiographer at our hospital, you will have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), be registered with the HCPC, hold a postgraduate qualification and high levels of technical knowledge. Ideally, you\'ll also have Radiation Protection Supervisor training and qualification, as well as the ability to work accurately and compassionately. As a Senior Radiographer, you will:

  • See each patient as an individual, offering understanding and empathy
  • Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload - in the department, on the ward and in theatre
  • Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities
  • Carry out scoping to develop policies and procedures
  • Supervise and develop junior colleagues
  • Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion

Experience
  • As a Radiographer at our Ipswich hospital, youll bring high levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately. You should have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification and excellent teamwork skills.
