Job summary

A leading construction firm in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial aspects of various projects across the North West. In this role, you will prepare cost plans, manage budgets, and oversee subcontract procurement while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Ideal candidates will possess relevant experience, strong communication, and negotiation skills, along with a degree in Quantity Surveying. A competitive salary of £65,000-£75,000 plus benefits is offered.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in the UK construction sector.
  • Experience across residential, affordable housing, care homes, student accommodation, education, industrial, and refurbishment.
  • Strong knowledge of JCT or NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Taking responsibility for commercial management across multiple projects in the North West.
  • Preparing and managing cost plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Managing subcontract procurement, quotations, and negotiations.
  • Monitoring project cash flow and controlling project costs.
  • Leading valuations, variations, and final accounts.
