A well-respected local contractor based in Hereford is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial and estimating support. In this full-time role, you will manage works from enquiry to project handover, prepare estimates, and liaise with clients and teams. Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' experience as a QS / Estimator (degree not essential).
• Full UK driving licence and local knowledge of the Herefordshire area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage works from enquiry and tender stage through to final account and handover.
• Prepare estimates, tenders, and cost plans for projects.
• Provide procurement advice and negotiate best value deals with suppliers.

Skills

Strong practical knowledge of construction methods and materials

Confident with pricing and quoting work

Proficient with spreadsheets / estimating software

Down-to-earth, hands-on approach

Education

5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator
