Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Oxford

Sector: Construction Consultancy – Infrastructure, Education, Residential

Salary: Up to £65,000 + Excellent Package

Role Overview
  • Managing the commercial delivery of major infrastructure, education, and residential projects.
  • Overseeing cost planning, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Providing accurate financial forecasting and cost reporting to clients.
  • Managing NEC, JCT, and other contract frameworks.
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks to ensure on‑time, cost‑efficient delivery.
  • Supporting business growth and client development in the Oxford office.
  • Leading on sustainability and value‑engineering discussions with design and delivery teams.
About You
  • Minimum 4 years’ PQS / consultancy experience.
  • MRICS (or working towards chartered status).
  • Strong understanding of construction methodology, cost planning, and procurement.
  • Proven track record in budgeting, value engineering, and commercial reporting.
  • Skilled in cost management software (e.g. CostX, iTWO, CADMeasure).
  • Experience working under NEC or JCT contracts.
  • Excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative, client‑facing role.
  • Passionate about sustainability and the future of the built environment.
