Qualifications

Have or working towards Professional Qualification relevant to the role.

Responsibilities
Produce and develop Area / Regional budgets and forecasts.
Review and advise on Company Terms and Conditions of Contract.
Provide timely and accurate applications for projects.
Advise on acceptance of orders and instructions
Carrying out CVR and Contract appraisals for the Area / Region
Negotiate and manage sub-contract orders and payment certificates
Build up rates and price variations
Assist in producing monthly contract appraisals / valuations in line with contract requirements
Produce and negotiate Interim and Final Accounts
Prepare and negotiate Claims, Adjudications, or other Dispute Resolutions
Overall financial monitoring and budgeting of selected contracts
Assist with commercial responses required in Pre-Qualification Questionnaires
Provide management of all commercial aspects of the projects
Assist with ensuring the governance and profitability of the projects
Develop, manage, and extend commercial relationships with the client and supply chain
Provide accurate commercial reporting to allow effective management of projects
Interface with finance, project managements and planning functions
Providing timely and accurate applications
Ensuring timely contractual notices are issued in accordance with the contractual timeframes
Carrying out CVR and Contract Appraisals for individual schemes
Preparing and estimating contractual changes and variations
Providing support and advice to the project management teams on such matters as contract compliance, contract awareness, contract change management, claims, variations, legal and finance matters to do with both Clients and Subcontractors
Assisting with providing monthly commercial and finance reports for internal meetings
Assist with contract programming and planning
Assist HR & Training departments with recruitment, onboarding, performance management & development of staff
Authorising staff holidays & other absences
Promote & encourage innovation and value
Motivating, coaching, encouraging, supporting, & providing guidance to other members of the commercial team

Fully conversant with modern office equipment and Microsoft Office,

Understanding of commercial requirements on construction projects
Maintained working knowledge of current main construction contract
forms (i.e., NEC 3 & 4 / JCT)
Understanding of different methods of measurement e.g., CRAMM,
Highways etc.
Accurate record keeping

Experience:
Significant experience within the Construction Industry in a similar commercial role
Proven experience of managing the commercial function for multi-million£ construction contracts with minimal senior support
Qualifications:

Have or working towards Professional Qualification relevant to the role
